The FieldFTC Relic Recovery is played on a 12’x12’ square Field. Two randomly selected teams are paired together as an alliance to play one match against a second alliance. Alliances are designated as either “Red” or “Blue.”
The Driver-Controlled PeriodDuring the Driver-Controlled period, alliances earn points by scoring glyphs into their alliance's crypto boxes. Robots may also claim points for their alliance by placing their alliance’s relic in the relec recovery zone during end game, or in the initial teleop period if they complete a crypto box. One completed crypto box equates to one relic your alliance in the recovery zone before the end game period.

The Autonomous PeriodDuring the Autonomous period, robots operate using only pre-programmed instructions. Alliances earn points by: knocking the opposite alliance's jewel, scanning the pictograph and dropping the glyph in the corresponding column and dropping the glyph. Alliances may also gain points by parking their robot in the relic safe sone in front of the crypto box.
The End GameThe final 30 seconds of the Driver-Controlled period is called the End Game. In addition to the Driver-Controlled period tasks, alliances can earn points by placing a relic in the relic recovery zone to get points, with the points awarded depending on where you place the relic and whether or not the relic is standing up.
