Frog Force Frenzy and Toys For Tots
We had an amazing time hosting the Frog Force Frenzy Jr FLL Expo. Planning the activities, running them and the opening and closing ceremonies were so fun. All the teams were great and amazed all of us with their presentations and we learned many new things about water from them.

Say Play Detroit FTC Kickoff Event
On the Kickoff day for 2017 season, our team was invited to the kickoff organized by our FRC team Frog Force at Say Play to run a work shop for rookie teams. We helped several teams by installing software on their laptops and helped sync up their phones and also assisted a few teams with the push bot build. We also answered questions from new teams regarding the competition and what we do during the season.
And then it was time for the kickoff at noon. We all were very excited to see the reveal video of Relic Recovery and could not get back soon enough to start designing our new robot. |
Advanced Manufacturing Expo
The auto manufacturing expo is an expo where the automotive vendors come and display what their companies are about and their capabilities. We talked to different companies about what their company is about and what FIRST/FTC is about. We learned about a lot of new things such as, collaborative robots which are robots that are safe to be around people. We also saw innovative ideas like virtual reality and new wiring methods to make things easier for engineers. We also drove our robot around the expo answering questions and talking to different people. Altogether it was a fun, interesting and a knowledgeable experience.
Steam Event at The Novi Public Library
We were invited to the STEM Day at the library where we presented to the Kids and their parents the highlights from our last season including how we designed, built and programmed our robot. We demoed our robot and drove it around and also let the kids drive it around. That was a big hit with the kids. They saw how interesting and fun robotics can be.
The parents and kids had many questions regarding the FTC and how they can join a robotics team. We answered questions from parents and kids about what we presented.
